All children are assessed as part of their learning.
Children are formally assessed at 5, 7 and 11 as part of the Government regulations and parents are informed of results as soon as they become available.
Assessment is seen as an on-going integral part of teaching and learning with daily assessment by both the teacher and the pupil informing subsequent lessons. This leads to clearer targets and greater ownership by the pupil of his or her learning. The teacher is also able to fine tune the lesson to ensure maximum progress at all times.
