Staff E-mail Addresses

Parent E-mail Tuesday 4th January 2021 re: Lockdown

Dear All

It is with great sadness that I have to inform you that following the Prime Minister’s announcement this evening we will not be welcoming back your children tomorrow as we have been preparing for and looking forward to today.

Unfortunately due to the lateness of this announcement we are now forced to very quickly adapt our plans to accommodate the children of key workers and vulnerable children. In order for us to do this we will not be able to open to any pupils tomorrow and will be spending the day putting everything in place for these last minute changes.

Consequently I would ask all of you to keep your children at home tomorrow (Tuesday 5th January 2021).

If you are a key worker and unable to work from home then can you please reply to this e-mail and provide the full names an classes of all of your children who attend Summerfield. We will then be in touch with you tomorrow to explain what will happen from Wednesday when we will be able to open to key worker and vulnerable children.

We will also be in touch with some families who we will be inviting to send their children into school by way of close support that we are duty bound to offer.

We will be speaking to all families tomorrow to establish the level of access that your children have to the internet and take steps to enable your children to access the remote learning that they will need to do via Google Classrooms.

If you have any questions please do feel free to contact me via the e-mail address, but in the meantime please be patient and someone will be in touch with your tomorrow. If no one has spoken to you by 2:00 pm tomorrow then please contact the school on 0121 675 2355 as this will be because we have been unsuccessful contacting you on the numbers that we have on record.
