Please find below our most recent Ofsted reports, and relevant information from the Department for Education Performance Tables.
Our last inspection by Ofsted was in October 2018. The full report is available below and if any parents would like a paper copy then please contact the school office to arrange collection.
Although the report has raised a number of areas for improvement there were also lots of positive comments made particularly relating to how well the children are cared for and the strong relationship between the school and parents.
The report says:
‘The school is an inclusive and welcoming community. Leaders and staff take good care of pupils. As a result, pupils get on well together. Pupils’ behaviour is good.’
‘Relationships with parents and carers are strong. Staff provide effective support for pupils and their families.’
It is important to remember that the children are getting very good results over their time at Summerfield. Over the last 2 to 3 years the outcomes for the children at the end of Early Years, end of Year 2 and at the end of Year 6 have matched the national average for the whole country. These improvements have come about by everyone’s hard work including that of parents. It is because of this that I am very confident that the school will continue to go from strength to strength and address any areas for improvement that are highlighted within the report.
On behalf of all of the staff I would like to thank you for your continued confidence and support.
