Music Intent, Implementation and Impact
Intent
Our aim is to enable, enhance and enrich the music education available to all children at Summerfield Primary School and ensure the requirements of the national curriculum are met. We also want to provide the children with regular opportunities to perform to other classes and parents, whether it be singing or playing a musical instrument, in order to create a positive musical atmosphere throughout the school. We offer weekly ukulele teaching sessions to year 4. These will be provided by the Birmingham Music Service. We offer an after school club which is provided by Multicultural Music Making. We continue to review the music provision to ensure all staff and children experience excellent musical experiences and improve their knowledge and understanding.
